Classic: learn the rhythm in seven prompts

Classic gives you seven prompts with 15 seconds for each answer. There is no daily attempt limit, so you can begin another climb after viewing the results. The highest possible total is 700 points.

The game favours prompts you have not yet seen in this browser before returning to familiar ones. With a library of 50 prompts, repeats are expected as you continue playing. Your best Classic score is stored locally.

Daily: one browser-saved attempt on a UTC schedule

Daily selects seven prompts from this edition's library using the current UTC date. Players on the same date receive the same deterministic selection here. The selection changes at midnight UTC; your local midnight may be different.

The attempt is saved in your browser, rather than enforced by an account. Returning to a completed Daily shows its results. Leaving after opening a prompt does not create a free retry: an opened, unanswered prompt can be recorded as a miss when you resume.

This Daily is generated by this edition. It does not synchronise with the original Noillirk site's prompts, scores, or player records.

Endless: keep three balloons in the air

Endless uses the same 15-second timer and six scoring tiers, but continues beyond seven prompts. You start with three balloons, lose one on a pass or timeout, and recover one with a 100-point answer, up to three.

The run ends after your last balloon is lost. There is no seven-round score ceiling, so compare Endless scores with other Endless runs rather than a 700-point Classic result.

Multiplayer: a shared board on this server

Create a room, choose a display name, and share its six-digit code. The host starts the climb and can select the number of prompts and the answer timer. Players receive the same prompts and see standings as the room advances.

Public waiting rooms appear in this edition's lobby. A private room stays out of that list, but anyone with its code can access it. Names, scores, and revealed answers are part of the shared room experience, so use a nickname you are comfortable making visible.

Online rooms use Cloudflare Durable Objects so players reach the same room state across locations. Room data and this edition's leaderboard are stored on the server and can survive a restart. They are separate from the original game's rooms and scores.
